Dental Receptionist - Hamilton

Multi chair practice with a busy and fast paced culture is looking for an experienced receptionist.

About the practice and the role:

  • Full time 7.30am - 5pm Monday - Friday
  • Experienced team of dentists, hygienists, oral health therapists, dental assistants, practice manager, treatment co-ordinator and other receptionist
  • Offering patients general, cosmetic, emergency, orthodontic, periodontic, endodontic and oral surgery treatments
  • Your duties will include:
    • greet and check in patients
    • manage email and phone enquiries
    • co-ordinate appointments
    • process payments
    • follow up with overdue balances and insurances
    • maintain the patient recall system
    • maintain patient records
    • ensure the consistent high presentation of the reception and waiting area
    • office inventory
    • prepare daily schedules
    • organise huddles for all clinical staff
    • dental charting and treatment planning
    • preparing referrals.
  • You'll work alongside all clinicians to ensure a smooth patient hand over
  • Remuneration $25-$30 p/hr depending on experience and skillset.

About you:

  • You'll have 2-5 years experience in reception or administration
  • Exceptional interpersonal and relationship building skills
  • Previous experience working in the dental sector
  • Experience using the ‘Exact’ online practice management system is advantageous
  • You'll know your way around the Microsoft Suite package
  • Highly efficient and organised
  • A strong problem solver
  • Confident communicator with fluent English
  • Able to translate dental services into layman's terms for patients
