Our client is a modern, dynamic dental practice in the Auckland CBD and they require a locum hygienist for 3 week May/June.

About the practice and the role:

• Team of 9 experienced dental professionals
• Dates of contract: 22 May 23 – 12 June 23
• Up to 40 hrs per week with a minimum of 24 hrs per week
• The practice provides re-call and new patient appointments
• Currently booked out 6 weeks in advance, so you'll be kept busy
• Equipment includes a new chair with Peizol scalers and NSK prophy jet, with a well setup and supportive sterilization room
• Remuneration to be negotiated based on experience ($45-$55 p/hr)
• Tasks and responsibilities include:
  • Perform dental hygiene services and procedures, including dental polishing, scaling, fluoride and sealants and roots planning
  • Complete a thorough assessment of the patient’s teeth, bone and periodontal tissues, and document any abnormalities or suspected conditions
  • Customise care to meet patient’s oral health
  • Educate patients on good oral hygiene techniques
  • Provide all care in conjunction with accepted professional dental practices and standards
• Free car parking is provided.

About you:

• Bachelor of Oral Health qualification with a Registered Dental Hygienist Certificate
• Ability to comply with safety procedures, rules and regulations in order to maintain a clean and safe working environment
• Strong working knowledge of dental terminology, equipment, and practices
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Proven dedication to provide high quality, comprehensive dental care
• EXACT Software experience
• Current CPR Certificate
