Proof of your Covid-19 vaccination status

As you are no doubt aware, on 11 October 2021, the New Zealand Government announced that health and disability workers (which includes dental staff) will be required to be fully vaccinated against Covid-19 under the COVID-19 Public Health Response (Vaccinations) Order 2021 (“the Order”). The Order is a legally binding health instruction which requires certain groups of health and disability workers to be vaccinated in order to undertake certain work.

A first vaccination dose must be met by 15 November 2021, with the second dose met by 1 January 2022. Any worker who does not comply with these vaccination deadlines must not work in a role which requires them to be vaccinated under Schedule 2 of the Order.

Here is a List of 22 approved Covid-19 vaccines

To allow LANZ.Dental to meet employers need for this information we are asking all dental candidates that we are working with on recruitment to please forward to us proof of your approved Covid-19 vaccination. For most candidates we will not be able to progress your applications for a role without this. The screen shot needs to include the organisation name, your full name, the dates of your vaccinations with the dose(s) and name of the approved vaccine.

In NZ this can be done fairly quickly and easily. By logging on to: https://app.covid19.health.nz/ and setting up a My Covid Record account, (which takes about 5 minutes to do and you will need a NZ Drivers License, Passport or an existing RealMe account). This will then provide proof of your vaccination status.  Once your vaccinations are shown on the screen, you can just take a screen shot or print out and email this through to us.

If you're currently based overseas you can email us a screen shot of your status using the NHS Covid Pass (UK), VAMS Vaccination Certificate (USA), MOH Vaccination Certificate (South Africa) or a similar system which your country’s Government is using as proof of vaccination.

This proof will be documented on your confidential LANZ.Dental profile and we can then continue with any applications we may be working on with you.

As this is an evolving situation, there may be further changes ahead and we will let you know if that is the case.
