Locum Dentist - Whakatane 3970897

This practice is searching for an experienced dentist to help out for a few weeks.

About the practice and the role:

• General dental practice
• 4 days a week (Mon, Tues, Thu, Fri) 
• Sole practitioner
• Dates needed: 22 May - 8 June 2026
• Supportive team consists of experienced hygienist, dental assistant, receptionist and practice manager
• Equipment includes rotary endo, surgical motor and digital x-rays
• Remuneration: 45% commission
  

About you:

• 5+ Years similar clinical experience
• Knowledge of and proficiency with all aspects of general dentistry, including surgical extractions and endodontics
• Confident planning and discussing treatment plans with patients
• Comfortable being the sole practitioner
• Passionate about providing exceptional patient care
• Caring and empathetic
• Great communication and interpersonal skills

About the region: The main centre for the eastern Bay of Plenty, Whakatāne is one of the sunniest towns in New Zealand. Whakatāne is also known for its fishing – more yellowfin tuna are caught here than anywhere else in the country. Whakatane is also very close to Ōhope, a 10km white sandy beach, which has a small settlement and is perfect for camping, surfing, walking and relaxing in the sun.
